Youths of Ebonyi State UK (YES-UK) was formed in 2017 by the erstwhile President of the Union – Dr. Nnanna Igwe as a networking forum for youths of Ebonyi State; also provide opportunities
through which the older generation of Ebonyians can pass on the baton of the Union to our
youths.

Ebonyi State Union UK is passionate about our rich cultural heritage as Ndi-Igbo and are
committed to enhancing cultural awareness amongst our young ones and friends of Igbo land.

YES-UK would provide an opportunity for young people to learn about their culture, build
professional and social relationships and also support one another in every aspect of life. YES-
UK, through the Union, would host cookery classes, Igbo language classes, talks events etc.
YES-UK’s core aims and objectives are:

• Cultural: To increase and enhance the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Igbo culture and tradition. To also stimulate their interest in Ebonyi State.
• Social: To serve as a channel by which young Ebonyians can meet one another, build friendships, socialise and identify affiliations.
• Support: To build and maintain a strong community where we rejoice with one another during times of happiness and support and strengthen one another through difficult times and challenges that invariably come to us during our lives.
• Network: To provide a forum where people can build networks that will promote and enhance their business.
• Leadership: To provide a forum where young Ebonyians can begin to get involved in the Union’s activities and prepare them for the future.
